Hybrid

For the season 2009 riese und müller starts to build electrically-assisted bicycles. We call this technique „hybrid“. The hybrid models go as easy as regular bikes and are just perfect for those, who like to have a little support while pedalling. It works as follows: The more you push the pedals, the higher is the support coming from the electrical drive – and this up to 200%. The removable accumulator can easily be charged in a regular outlet. In addition the battery gets back some of its energy while braking or taking a long descent. Besides technical characteristics the new hybrid fleet is all about great design. Through optical integration of drive and accumulator the bicycles look unobtrusive and organised. The result: attractive, modern and sportive bikes in the style of riese und müller.
